Are there processing fees associated with my gift? Yes, every donation has a transaction fee deducted. By checking the option to "cover processing fee", you will cover that fee and Madison Methodist will receive 100% of your original donation amount.
Is it ok to use a debit or credit card? Contributions via debit and credit cards are accepted, but are subject to a fee of 2.9% of the transaction plus a $0.30 per transaction fee. American Express cards are subject to a 3.5% fee. There is no cap on the amount of these fees.
If I cover the processing fee, will I receive a contribution credit? Yes, absolutely!
What is the most effective and secure way to give online? Using your bank routing number and account number is the most effective way to give online. The fees are only 1% plus $0.25 transaction fee.
Is the Madison Methodist website & giving link secure with my personal information? Yes. Your information is secured using XXX security which is compliant with HIPPA and security protocols similar to ones used by most financial institutions.
Can I set up my gift as "recurring"? Yes! Your gift can be set to weekly, biweekly, or monthly for your convenience.
What can I expect to see on my bank statement? It can vary by banking institution, however, as a standard you can expect to see "Madison Methodist" as the charge description.
